Thermoforming is a technique of deforming glass by exposure to high temperatures. The process seen during the course can result in an impression in the glass, a modeling of it or a glass sculpture, either a low, medium or high relief. It can be a contemporary expression of stained glass.

Why use thermoforming?

To create structures, reliefs and original decorations that can also be integrated into a stained glass window. To create decorative or utilitarian glass objects. Thermoforming widens the usual field of stained glass.

Le but de ce stage n’est pas de repartir avec un objet nécessairement abouti, mais plutôt d’appréhender le matériau verre et ses comportements en expérimentant par le moyen du thermoformage !
Nous travaillerons uniquement avec du verre Float afin de simplifier le partage du four lors de la cuisson. Cuisson qui aura lieu dans la nuit de samedi à dimanche.
