The training
This course aims at composing a stained glass window or a part of a stained glass window without the use of lead crimping. The gluing is a cold technique which consists in fixing flat glasses made precious by the polishing of their edges, on a support glass, flat and generally transparent.
Why use collage?
For the partial decoration of the glass support and to get a certain freedom in the composition of a stained glass. The superposition of colored glass by collage allows to increase the palette thanks to subtle variations.
Internship program :
- Accueil.
- Introduction théorique et technique (contraintes).
- Élaboration d’un projet de petit format et correction
- Coupe des verres et polissage machine.
- Mise en œuvre du collage.
- Nettoyage et finitions.
- Sécurité.
- Analyse et conclusion de stage.
Practical information
Maître de stage : Chihiro Nakamura – maître-verrier.
Pré-requis : connaissance de la coupe du verre.
Matériel personnel : outillage usuel de vitrail (en cas de nécessité l’Ecole met à disposition l’outillage nécessaire). Petit matériel de bricolage. Bâtonnets à brochette.
