Sacred art

The sacred arts are those artistic productions or practices (such as painting, sculpture, music, poetry, dance, etc.) whose purpose is the expression of the sacred. Religious buildings are, by definition, part of sacred art.
Other examples that are part of the world's sacred art: stained glass windows and rosettes in cathedrals, Christian icons, Buddhist mandalas built on the circle and according to geometric forms, Koranic calligraphy in mosques...
