The training
The Swiss School of Stained Glass and Creation offers the possibility to a very large public to acquire the basics of the traditional technique of stained glass. This course does not require any previous training and is open to anyone who wishes to become familiar with the art of stained glass.
The School's workshop has a unique capacity and the courses are supervised by a professional and experienced team.
Course curriculum:
Each participant makes two pieces. The first "white" stained glass panel allows for a review of all the steps involved in making it. The second panel is a personal project in colored glass.
Procedure:
Welcome.
Theoretical introduction and safety.
Drawing of the first stained glass window, cutting of the glass, lead setting, soldering and finishing.
Personal project, drawing, cutting, lead setting, soldering and finishing.
After this initiation, the School offers, to those who wish, to extend their training in order to realize other works or acquire other techniques.
Practical information
Intervenants : Guy Cristina, Chihiro Nakamura, Odile Faes.
Matériel personnel : petits effets de bricolage, bonnes chaussures, tablier.
Our school offers two types of training, either weekly courses according to the calendar, or courses in the form of one-week internships in the summer.
Cours hebdomadaires selon calendrier (veuillez consulter ci-dessous):
Horaire : de 9h à 12h et de 13h à 16h00 (sur la demande préalable, les cours peuvent être suivis à la demi-journée)
Les mercredis – Uniquement l’après-midi
Pour effectuer le programme d’initiation, comptez environ 4-5 jours.
Tarifs : fr. 90.— la demi-journée ; – fr. 960.— le stage d’une semaine, y compris fournitures et outillage pour le vitrail en prêt.
Inscription :
fr. 250.—, à déduire du montant total des cours , les membres de l’Association de l’Ecole Suisse de Vitrail et Création bénéficient d’un rabais de 10%.
The School offers accommodation (single room + shared kitchen and bathroom) at a cost of Fr. 150 per week.
