« Le verre montheysan : panorama de la production de la Verrerie de la Gare »(1862-1931)

The Monthey glassworks was one of the first industries to set up in the Valais. Active for more than a century, it has occupied a place of choice in the Swiss glass market. Taking advantage of numerous manufacturing and shaping techniques, it has been able to offer quality utilitarian objects in white glass or crystal, without neglecting decorative pieces. This was to the point of collaborating with artists in the last period of its activity.
