The training
Silk-screen printing allows the printing of images such as photographs or drawings on glass. This technique is similar to the stencil technique. Screen printing can be used for the unique or serial reproduction of selected motifs. The process seen during the workshop consists in passing an ink (here paints for stained glass) through a fabric placed on a support (here the glass).
Why use screen printing?
In order to reproduce a decor in several copies. To reproduce a photographic image: Linda McCartney and Brian Clarke used silk-screening for stained glass. To reproduce effects impossible to obtain with the traditional technique of painting on glass.
